Journeys that inspire

At Inspiring Journeys, we want to rekindle your passion for travel through immersive, boutique holiday experiences. We offer a range of luxury journeys from 5 to 22 days to the most idyllic, breathtaking, and iconic locations in Australia and New Zealand.

Each itinerary is designed as a customisable and intimate small group tour, with no children under 12. Best of all, our expert Journey Directors and/or Driver Guides will impart local knowledge and deliver sublime service, so all you need to do is sit back, relax and be inspired by the journey.

Travel that’s personal

We believe that the best journeys are personal. We strive to connect you to local culture and extraordinary places through unique, authentic experiences that matter to you.

Our tailored approach means you can modify itineraries to suit your interests. Whether it’s visiting a museum, dining at an exclusive restaurant or discovering hidden gems, we’ll help you find the perfect balance to get the most out of every destination.

A touch of luxury

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service. It’s ingrained in every aspect of your Inspiring Journey; from boutique accommodation to premium coaches and exclusive access to people and places.

Dine under the stars in the red centre before settling into one of Australia’s finest 5-star hotels, Sails in the Desert. Get up close and personal with nature as you explore the Northern Territory in a luxury 4WD vehicle, or indulge in a local lunch at the historic Red Barn home of Lance and Bridgette O’Sullivan in Waikato.

Intimate moments worth sharing

We want you to get the most from your luxury journey. That's why we offer immersive experiences in a boutique small groups of up to 20 like-minded travellers. This ensures your special moments aren’t crowded, and you can always find a quiet spot to watch the sunset with your significant other.

Not only will your memories be personal ones, but our journeys can take you off the beaten track to unique locations that can’t be reached by larger groups.

History and culture brought to life

Discover the rich culture and traditions of each destination. We’ve brought together a range of local people who can share the ancient narratives and modern tales of their home, making every stop along your journey a memorable one.

Learn about traditional Maori customs from proud Indigenous descendants under a lush forest canopy; speak with didgeridoo expert Manuel Pamkal as he shares his passion for Aboriginal art and culture, or walk in the footsteps of the palawa – a Tasmanian Aboriginal clan – on a guided walk in the spectacular Bay of Fires region.

Leave behind a positive legacy

We want to protect the unique cultures and spellbinding locations you visit for future generations to enjoy. We partner with the TreadRight Foundation to keep sustainability at the centre of everything we do.

As part of this partnership, we support the Kiwi Breeding Programme in Rotorua, where 55% of all kiwi chicks begin their life. Meanwhile, at Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors we’ve helped over 2,000 koalas return to health at the nation’s busiest koala hospital.

Our people help create special memories

We don’t just craft the perfect journey, we’re there to help it exceed all expectations. Your passionate Journey Director and/or Driver Guide will be with you all the way, ready to share in-depth local knowledge, customise your experience, and take care of all the finer details… but don’t just take it from us.

“Every second, from the moment the 4WD rumbled up to the hotel door to collect me to our last night on the river cruise dinner will hold lasting memories for me. The small intimate group made the whole experience so much better. Warren was a superb and knowledgeable person. A great introduction to the Northern Territory.”

“I really appreciated the enjoyable manner in which information was imparted by Myles. His enthusiasm and sense of fun brought all activities to life. I enjoyed the pace of walks and activities, allowing us to enjoy them with no sense of being rushed. Kathleen’s Gallery and galling areas are a great place to visit.”
